L'invito — The invitation

Four days at the foot
of Monte Pisano.

We're getting married at Villa Scorzi, a 14th-century manor in the Valgraziosa valley outside Pisa — six hectares of park, two courtyards, a rose garden that comes into bloom in May, and a 17th-century grotto encrusted with shells and amber stone. We'd love you there for all of it.

Pisa airport is fifteen minutes away. Florence is an hour. Come early, stay late, and let us feed you.

La villa — The place

Villa Scorzi

Built in the 1300s as a rural holding and taken over by the Scorzi, Counts of Pisa, as their country house. It has been added to for seven centuries — you can read the styles stacking up on top of each other as you walk through it. The view runs from the Arno to the Leaning Tower.

Everything across the four days happens inside the estate or a short walk from it. You will not need to drive anywhere in the dark.

La nostra storia — Our story

How we got
from there to here.

We met on a Tuesday, which is a bad night for almost everything except meeting the person you're going to marry. [Replace this paragraph: where you were, what she was drinking, who spoke first, what you got wrong about her in the first ten minutes.]

[Second paragraph: the stretch in the middle. The first trip you took together, the apartment, the thing you learned to do because she does it. Keep it specific — specific is what people remember.]

[Third paragraph: the proposal. Where, when, and whether either of you cried.]

Everyone we love, in one valley, for four days. That's the whole idea.

Some of you are flying a very long way for this. We know what that costs, and we're not taking it lightly. We picked four days on purpose — one dinner was never going to be enough time with the people who got us here.

So come hungry, bring shoes you can walk a gravel courtyard in, and we'll see you in Tuscany.

Il programma — The four days

Thursday 27 to
Sunday 30 May.

Each day sits in a different part of the villa. Nothing is compulsory except Saturday. Times are firm; everything else is a suggestion.

Rooms in the villa and the Arancera. If you're staying in Calci or Pisa, drop your bags whenever suits you.

  • 18:30

    Aperitivo in the great court

Around the well, next to the Grottesco — the rocaille cave in the corner, all shells and amber stone. Spritz, vermouth, olive-oil bread from the valley. Come as you are.

    Dress: whatever you travelled in
  • 20:30

    Loose dinner, no seating plan

Long tables under the loggia. Stay as late or leave as early as you like.

  • 09:00

    Breakfast in the park

Coffee under the trees. Pool is open.

  • 13:00

    Pisa, or nothing at all

Fifteen minutes by car. Go see the Tower, or stay by the pool. Both are correct.

  • 20:00

    Welcome dinner in the Granaio

The old grain barn — carved stone fireplace, terracotta ceilings, wooden rafters. Everyone in one room for the first time.

    Dress: smart casual

The wedding

Roseto → Giardino all'Italiana → Limonaia The whole estate

Dress: formal · grass & gravel underfoot
  • 17:15

    Aperitivo in the Italian garden

The geometric parterre in front of the main façade — clipped hedges, long light, cold drinks.

The old winter garden: huge beams, tall windows onto the inner court. Seating plan at the door.

  • 23:00

Day IVSun 30

I regali — Registry

Getting you to Tuscany
is the gift.

Flights, hotels, four days off work — you've already done the hard part. But people keep asking, so: if you'd like to give something, here's where it goes.

The honeymoon

A week on Elba, straight out of the port at Livorno. Contributions go to the boat, the room, and dinner.

The cellar

A bottle for the house — amaro, vermouth, something you love. Tell us what and why; we'll open it with you.

Something else

Bringing your own idea? Let us know here so we don't end up with four of them.

We'll email you back with details. No gift is expected and nobody is keeping a list.
